Sometimes, it’s nice to step back from formal lettering practice and see the bigger picture.
I recently discovered this interesting exercise and found
it’s wonderful way to play with form, visual balance, color and design in a simple format.
Each one turns out a little different.
Here’s an example of a recent attempt using Roman capitals as the underlying form.
